Valerie's Story*

Valerie was motivated to visit her doctor after reviewing the results of her Health Assessment. Together, they developed an eating and exercise plan that fit into her busy life.

In 10 months, Valerie lost 55 pounds and lowered her cholesterol 13 points by increasing her daily intake of fruits and vegetables, drinking eight glasses of water a day and exercising twice a week.

Valerie indicated that one of the most satisfying outcomes has been the positive impact her healthier lifestyle has had on her two children. Valerie's children have been inspired to adopt similar healthy behaviors by watching their mom change her own habits.
