Maria's Story*

A gym membership and home exercise equipment were not motivating Maria to lose the 40 pounds she gained over the last few years. She decided to complete the Health Assessment based on an e-mail she received at work. Her personalized Action Plan encouraged her to increase her activity. She began walking, starting at 15 minutes a day and gradually increasing to 90 minutes a day. She enhanced her daily routine with some of the exercises and meals she learned about from the program. Six months later, Maria was still walking and exercising. She feels good and has dropped several clothes sizes.
